About the project
We’re excited to introduce you to Taste of Independence (TOI), an international collaboration funded by the European Erasmus+ programme. This project is dedicated to supporting adults with multiple disabilities and visual impairments (MDVI) in gaining greater independence, improving their well-being, and promoting social inclusion.
A Taste of Independence is a community-based project designed to improve the well-being and independence of adults with Multiple Disabilities and Visual Impairment (MDVI). By addressing their unique needs, we aim to prevent institutionalization and support inclusive, supportive living and learning environments.
Improve the well-being and independence of adults with multiple and visual disabilities (MDVI) – by meeting their specific needs.
Prevent people from becoming too dependent on care institutions – and support them to live more in the community.
Support inclusion, give people more control over their lives, and create better places to live and learn – by helping the MDVI community and the people around them understand and support each other better.
“Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a full life and be as independent as possible — regardless of ability.”
